What we collect
If you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you enter: your name, your email address, and the content of your message. We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information through this form.
If you simply read the site, our website provider collects standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit through the contact form solely to read and respond to your message, and to keep a record of that correspondence. We use technical information to keep the site working and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and analytics
This website is hosted on Squarespace, which sets cookies necessary for the site to function and for basic analytics about site traffic. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site will still work.
Where your information is held
The site is hosted by Squarespace, and messages sent through the contact form are delivered to a Google Workspace email account. Both providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own security and privacy practices.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form correspondence for as long as it is useful for the purpose it was sent, and then delete it. If you ask us to delete your message and details, we will do so unless we are required to keep them by law.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to morgan@groundstateintelligence.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
